October at GBA: A Month of Charity, Football and Community Spirit

October has been a month full of energy and generosity across GBA, as our teams came together to support important causes and strengthen our sense of community.

We kicked things off with the Macmillan Coffee Morning, where colleagues brewed up plenty of conversation alongside delicious cakes and treats, raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. It was fantastic to see so many people get involved and contribute to such a vital charity.

Later in the month, we embraced a splash of colour for Wear It Pink Day, showing solidarity for Breast Cancer Now. From bright outfits to creative accessories, the day was a vibrant reminder of the power of awareness and fundraising.

One of the biggest highlights of October was the GBA World Cup, an incredible event that united teams from across the UK—and even suppliers, customers, and contacts from other countries—for a day of football and fundraising.

The tournament wasn’t just about sport; it was about making a difference. Together, we raised almost £2,000 for Derby County Community Trust, supporting their fantastic work in local communities. The atmosphere was electric, with friendly competition and plenty of team spirit on display.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped make this event such a success. It’s a perfect example of how GBA goes beyond business to create positive impact.

Why GBA is the Right Logistics Partner

As we look ahead, the winter months are fast approaching, and Peak season is on the horizon. While October was all about charity and creativity, November and December will see us focus on delivering excellence for our customers during the busiest time of the year.

Thank you to everyone who took part in these initiatives. Your enthusiasm and generosity make GBA more than just a workplace, it’s a community.
