Bringing Paws-itivity to GBA Logistics

At GBA Logistics, we’re always looking for ways to enhance wellbeing, support our people, and create an environment where everyone can thrive. That’s why we’re excited to share a new initiative that’s already making tails wag: pets in the office!
A New Chapter in Workplace Wellbeing
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been welcoming pets—mainly dogs—into our office spaces, and the impact has been overwhelmingly positive. Whether you’re in freight services, the control tower, or part of our logistics support team, there’s something comforting about seeing a happy tail wagging near your desk.
“It’s honestly changed the energy in the room,” says Jane from the HR team. “There’s a more relaxed atmosphere, and even visitors have commented on how friendly and open the office feels.”

Why Pets in the Office?
In the logistics industry, where precision and performance matter, we understand the importance of a calm and productive workspace. Studies have shown that having pets in the office can help reduce stress, improve communication, and foster a more connected culture—and we’ve certainly seen that first-hand.
“We’ve had no issues at all,” says Kev from our Fleet Operations team. “No barking, no distractions. It’s like the dogs know they’re part of something professional. They’ve blended right in.”
Respectful Companions—Big and Small
From small lapdogs to larger companions, our office has become a safe, pet-friendly space where everyone respects the balance between work and wag. We’ve implemented a risk assessment and clear guidelines to ensure everyone—human and animal—can enjoy the benefits safely.
“It’s funny,” laughs Mukesh from our IT and Systems team. “The dogs just seem to get it. They come in, chill out, and actually help spark conversation across departments that wouldn’t normally chat as much.”
Strengthening Our Logistics Culture
At GBA Logistics, people are at the heart of our operation—whether we’re managing complex transport networks, temperature-controlled logistics, or European freight distribution. Initiatives like this align with our belief that a strong culture leads to stronger performance.
“Culture is everything,” adds Russell, our Learning and Development lead. “By allowing pets, we’re showing trust and care. That says a lot about how we operate—not just as a logistics business, but as a people-first company.”
Final Woof (and Word)
As we continue to build a connected and supportive workplace, we’re excited to see how this initiative evolves. We’re encouraging responsible pet ownership, and we ask colleagues to speak with their line managers before bringing in their pets.
“The pets are part of our team now,” says Marc, from Marketing and Internal Communications. “It’s a great example of how even a logistics business can embrace wellbeing in a really human—and humane—way.”
