  1. Introduction

GBA Services Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”) built the GBA DriverApp as a Free app. This SERVICE is provided by GBA Services Ltd at no cost and is intended for use as is. This policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information for anyone using our Service.

  1. Information Collection and Use

To provide effective logistics and delivery services, we require certain personally identifiable information. The information we request will be retained and used as described in this policy.

  • Location Data (Background & Foreground): We collect precise or approximate location data from your mobile device.
  • Camera and Photos: We access your device’s camera and photo library to allow you to upload images as proof of delivery (POD), fuel receipts, or vehicle inspections.
  • Log Data: In the event of an app error, we collect Log Data (via third-party products) which may include your IP address, device name, OS version, and usage statistics.
  1. Use of Background Location Data

Important: The GBA DriverApp collects location data to enable real-time job tracking, route optimization, and automated progress updates for dispatchers even when the app is closed or not in use.

We use this data to:

  • Provide accurate Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) to customers.
  • Allow dispatchers to assign the nearest jobs to available drivers.
  • Update “Live Activity” (iOS) and persistent notifications (Android) with job progress.
  1. Use of Camera Data

The App requires access to the camera and media library to:

  • Capture images of goods at the point of delivery (POD).
  • Scan barcodes or QR codes for load verification.
  • Document vehicle damage or maintenance issues. Images are uploaded to our secure servers and are strictly associated with the specific Job ID you are processing.
  1. Third-Party Services and Cookies

The app utilizes Google Play Services, which may collect information used to identify you.

Cookies: This Service does not use “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use cookies to improve their services. You have the option to refuse these cookies in your device settings, though it may limit some features of the Service.

  1. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share your information only with:

  • GBA Dispatchers and Operations: To manage active logistics and safety.
  • Customers: To provide real-time tracking updates for their specific shipments.
  • Service Providers: We may employ third-party companies to facilitate our Service or analyze usage. These parties are contractually obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.
  1. Security and Retention

We value your trust and strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting your Personal Information. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We retain your data only as long as necessary to fulfill logistics requirements or comply with legal obligations.

  1. Your Choices and Controls
  • Location: You can opt-out of background location tracking via device settings, but doing so will significantly limit the App’s functionality and your ability to receive or complete jobs.
  • Camera: You can revoke camera permissions at any time through your device settings.
  1. Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete it from our servers.
